Book reviews

A most rewarding read

Hugh's book has captured the extraordinary life of Peter Louis Potter. It is beautifully written, enabling the reader to get to know Peter through his vast experiences. Many are touching, others hilarious and almost unbelievable. I particularly liked the detailed account of Peter's childhood growing up in the farming communities of rural Essex. However, the spirit and bravery he showed whilst serving in WW2 as the Rear Gunner in a Lancaster Bomber shines through too. This is by far the most rewarding book I have read for some time.

A very enjoyable read

"Tales of Peter Potter" was a very enjoyable read, and you are to be congratulated on your effort.  We read a lot about pilots in the war but little about the rear gunner.
