SOE in France (with some Essex connections)

Hugh's grandparents were friends of R J Minney & family from Lawford House. R J Minney was the man who wrote the book "Carve her name with pride" about the famous Special Operations Executive spy Violette Szabo.

After his mother put him on the trail, Hugh made local enquiries, managed to meet with Tania Szabo (daughter of Violette) and added further research to give a fascinating illustration of aspects of how the SOE operated in France.
